Hawkesbury Hydro posted a notice on its website that some parts of town are without power. Repair crews have been dispatched. There is no information at present how soon the power will be restored to affected neighbourhoods.

The original notice on the website stated wind was the cause for the scattered power outages. The notice has since been revised to state that Hawkesbury Hydro crews must confirm the cause of an outage before attempting to power up electrical circuits affected by the outage. Failure to do so could result in a lower power outage than originally anticipated.
