Two charged over disturbance

Police have called for witnesses after after two people allegedly assaulted an officer in Clarence Creek on Sunday.

The Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Lemay Street at about 10:00 a.m. after a traffic complaint. In a statement, the OPP said “the driver wasn’t cooperative with the officer’s demands” and was arrested. The OPP also said the driver and a passenger also assaulted the officer at the scene.

Krista Bullis, 33, of Rockland was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand, intimidation – justice system – justice system participant, uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, mischief under $5,000, assault with intent to resist arrest, speeding 1-49 km/h over posted speed limit, and drive while child passenger not properly secured. 

Matt Frost, 35, also of Rockland was charged with intimidation – justice system – justice system participant, assault with intent to resist arrest, and uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm. None of the charges of either accused have been proven in court.
