Man airlifted after tree fall

A man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition on Saturday after a tree fell on him in Embrun.

Emergency services were called before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday to Embrun near Cambridge Public School on Route 500. The Ornge rescue helicopter was called and landed on the school grounds.

An Ornge spokesperson said a male patient in his 30s was transported to The Ottawa Hospital’s Civic campus with critical injuries. Police and paramedics were in attendance.
