Police are asking for help on a hit-and-run case in Russell Township that left a woman injured.

OPP incident report states that a collision occurred September 21, just before 9 p.m., at the intersection of Eadie Road and Route 200 in the municipality.

A speeding pickup truck ran through the intersection, eastbound on Route 200. It collided with a car and continued on through the intersection without stopping.

The 27-year-old woman driving the car was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.

Police are now looking for the truck and its driver involved in the accident. The truck is described as a maroon or burgundy-coloured pickup. It may be either a Chevy Silverado or a GMC Sierra or similar type vehicle in the 2014 to 2017 model year group.

The truck is described as in “relatively good condition” though it should now show damage on the driver’s side towards the back of the vehicle.
