The United Counties of Prescott-Russell (UCPR) announced Friday (May 8) that it now has arranged a total of six emergency child care centre operations to support front-line workers providing essential services for Prescott-Russell residents during the current pandemic situation.
Use of the centres is free of charge to people classed as « essential service personnel » according to the provincial government’s list. This includes those who work in hospitals and long-term care facilities, as paramedics, police, and firefighters, and in various food service industries such as grocery stores and restaurants which provide take-out or delivery service. Daycare services are available at the Centre éducatif Les Petits trésors locations in Limoges (525-A Limoges Road), Pleasant Corners (4099 Highway 34, Vankleek Hill), Wendover (3250 Principale Street), and Plantagenet (260 Main Street).
