Russell High School held its 2023 graduation ceremony to celebrate its graduating students.

On June 27, Russell High School (RHS) held a graduation ceremony for its 2023 graduates. As they crossed the stage and accepted their diplomas, the students marked the end of their high school careers and stepped out into the wider world. Friends and family clapped and celebrated as principal Dominique Bertrand announced each student as they crossed the stage, as well as any awards or grants they might have earned during the year.

Isaac Jaquemet was awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Academic Bronze Medal, which is awarded to the student with the highest grade point average (GPA) in the graduating class.

After that, valedictorian Alexa Russell took the microphone to deliver her speech. She spoke of how the graduates had their high school careers interrupted by COVID-19, all the magnificent places they were going next, and how proud she was that they all made it this far.

The crowd erupted into applause as the graduates threw their hats and cheered.
