The Chute-à-Blondeau resident won a jackpot of $62,337.60 on the November 22 2021 Poker Lotto All In draw and also a $5000 instant portion win for a total of $67,337.60. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) confirmed Cousineau’s win in a January 14 release after she collected her prize at the Toronto OLG office.
“This is my first big win,” Cousineau told lottery officials, adding that she has been playing the lottery for 10 years.
Cousineau bought her ticket at the Crevier Express in Hawkesbury. She told OLG officials she was still surprised when she later checked her ticket and learned that she had won.
“I was so nervous, this never happens,” she stated. “I called my husband, and he could tell by my voice that something had happened. When I told him I won the lottery, he said, ‘Are you sure?’ I was so happy and excited.”
Cousineau plans to save her lottery win for the future, noting that “It’s a good time to think about my retirement.”
