The Rockland Nationals just keep on winning.

The Nats had three games in six days last week, beginning the stretch of games with a visit to Renfrew to take on the Wolves on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The Nats played the Wolves twice last week, beating Renfrew twice by scores of 8-5 on Wednesday, and 4-2, a home win on Friday, Oct. 18.

Rockland rounded out the week with a 4-1 win at home over the Kemptville 73’s on Sunday, Oct. 20.

With three more wins last week, the Nationals improve to an impressive 12-0 on the 2024-2025 Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) season. They sit atop the table with 24 points as the league’s only undefeated team.

During their 12-game winning streak, Rockland has scored 55 goals, good for second in the league, while allowing a league low of 22 goals against. They have the league’s second-best penalty kill percentage at 91.8 per cent. The Nats have scored seven power play goals this year on 42 chances (16.7 per cent).

                                                                                                                        Nats tame Wolves,  twice

The Nats saw the Wolves twice last week, first hitting the road to visit Renfrew on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Rockland assistant captain Alex Kelloway and Gabriel Le Houillier each had two goals to lead Rockland in the team’s 8-5 win over Renfrew.

Anthony Hall, Mathys Laurent, Trystan-Félix Tremblay and Danel Myloserdnyy had the other Rockland goals. Kelloway added an assist for three points and was named the game’s first star while Félix Tremblay added two assists for three points, and was named the game’s second star.

Two nights later the same Wolves made a trip to Rockland, hoping for some payback,

But it was not meant to be,

Nats forward Dylan McDougall’s fourth goal of the season with just over eight minutes gone in the second period proved to be the game winner, with Rockland doubling up the visiting Wolves by a score of 4-2.

Danel Myloserdnyy scored twice, and was named the game’s first star, for the Nats while Anthony Hall added the winning squad’s other goal.

Benoit Forget stopped 19 of 21 shots he faced.

After back-to-back wins against the Wolves, Rockland welcomed Kemptville on Sunday, Oct. 20, for an afternoon matchup. Trystan-Félix Tremblay scored twice for the Nats, including the game winner, leading the Nats to a 4-1 over the visiting team.

                                                                                                                                       Up next

Rockland looks to keep the winning streak alive when they host the Navan Grads on Friday, Oct. 25. They will take on the Pembroke Lumber Kings two nights later, in Pembroke, on Sunday, Oct 27.
