Stanley Park, located at 304 Route 100, has undergone upgrades to make its facilities more accessible for everyone.

These improvements reflect the community’s commitment to inclusion, ensuring enjoyment and functionality for both residents and visitors.

The park now features specialized ramps designed to help children with disabilities reach upper levels, access slides, and engage with ground-level play elements to ensure inclusive play for children of all abilities. Additionally, a surface made of engineered wood fibers allows wheelchair access to the play structure. An accessible swing has also been ordered and will be installed upon arrival.

Alongside these enhancements, Stanley Park retains its most popular amenities, including a basketball court, a playground, and a shaded seating area.

While not all municipal parks are fully accessible, mainly due to budgetary constraints, ongoing efforts aim to introduce inclusive improvements across many locations. Jonathan Pitre Park already offers accessible play structures, swings, a boat, and exercise equipment for seniors.

Looking ahead, Yahoo Park is set to be the next park to undergo accessibility upgrades, with improvements planned in the 2025 budget.
