Four games into to the 2024-2025 CCHL season, the Rockland Nationals are off to a blazing start.

After an impressive 4-2 home opener victory against the Cornwall Colts, the Nats hit the road the following night to take on the Ottawa Junior Senators.

Rockland dominated the Sens, earning an 8-2 road win, and improving their record to 4-0 to start a brand new CCHL season.

The offensive outburst against Ottawa saw goals from eight different Nationals, proving that this team has four solid lines that can score, something head coach Justin Pereira specified before the season began.

As the Nats remain the league’s only unbeaten team heading into a new week of CCHL action, Rockland looks to make it five in a row to start the season when they welcome the Nepean Raiders on Friday, Sept. 27.

Building on a successful 2023-2024 campaign

Under head coach Justin Pereira’s first year behind the bench, the Rockland Nationals saw a complete turnaround.

It was a shift in culture, bringing a whole new attitude that everyone in the organization, from the management to the players, bought into.

It showed on the ice, as the team made the playoffs for the first time in many years and beat the Renfrew Wolves in a first round postseason matchup.

While they lost to the Navan Grads in the second round, the team has been able to build on the success it saw last season with its impressive 4-0 start to this season.

With a new leadership group, led by captain Josh O’Connor and assistant captains Trystan-Felix Tremblay and Jeremie Ndeffo, the Nats are looking to take that next step: a chance to compete for a Centennial Cup.
