Police request help identifying phone thieves

Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating the theft of an employee’s phone by patrons of a Clarence-Rockland business.

On June 1, around 6:00 p.m., an unknown male and female entered a business in Rockland and the man stole an employee’s phone. Police did not mention the name of the business or employee.

Police provided a description of the two individuals in the hopes the public may be able to help identify them.

The man is described as Caucasian with facial hair and wearing a green baseball cap with a black logo on the front, a black t-shirt with a white and black logo, grey shorts, black running shoes and was carrying a multi-coloured helmet. The male was seen driving to the store on a black ATV.

The woman is described as Caucasian with dark hair and was wearing sunglasses, a green t-shirt with a white pineapple on the front, blue jeans, grey sneakers and was carrying a purple and white helmet.

Anyone aware of the individuals’ identities or have any information is asked to contact Russell County OPP at 613-443-4499 or OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
