Public Safety and Enforcement officers issued April’s “positive tickets” to Juliana, 9, and Danek, 9, who demonstrated outstanding community spirit.
The goal of these “positive tickets” is to acknowledge and reward local youth within the Russell community for their helpful actions, behaviour, and acts of kindness.
On April 13 and 14, they dedicated their time to cleaning up Forced Road and Craig Street, making an impact on the community’s cleanliness and its natural environment.
Each “ticket” includes a gift card from community groups and local business owners who are sponsoring prizes in the program, including the Kin Club, Legion, Giant Tiger, McDonald’s, and Tim Hortons as a recompense for being a great role model.
