A L’Orginal woman is facing charges for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, driving her vehicle with cannabis in open baggage and for unsafe driving.

Marie Brigitte Myre was arrested following a traffic stop on County Road 17 in Champlain township on February 18 at approximately 10:30 p.m. for a sobriety check. She was subsequently arrested and charged by the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police with offenses under the controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Highway Traffic Act and Cannabis Control Act.

She was lated released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 13, 2024 at the L’Orignal Court of Justice.
