Police are investigating the circumstances behind a fatal accident on County Road 17.
Around 8 :20 p.m., November 21, police, paramedics, and the Hawkesbury Fire Department received calls about an accident on County Road 17 near the Golf Road intersection in East Hawkesbury Township.
The fatal collision claimed the life of a 39-year-old Hawkesbury man. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
The OPP Technical Collision Investigation unit and an expert in reconstruction of accident scenarios are reviewing evidence collected from the accident scene to determine the cause of the fatal collision.
