With the last game of the month ending in a win for the Cougars, they’ll go into November with their winning streak intact.

The Vankleek Hill Cougars went up against the Almonte Infernos on October 29, welcoming them to their home turf at the Vankleek Hill arena.

Although the Cougars started the game well with a goal over the Infernos in the first period, the Infernos blazed back with a vengeance, evening the score in the second period and sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The Cougars weren’t about to lose a second winning streak though, and at the start of the third they slammed home four goals in a row before the Infernos could rally. Despite fighting to make up the new lead, the Infernos were unable to overcome the Cougars before the final buzzer sounded.

The Cougars walked away with an 8-4 victory. Their goals were scored by Maxime Laliberte, Luka Tomich, Andy Lightle-Blais, Joshua Desjardins, and Zachary Sullivan, assisted by Mathieu Belanger, Brenden Easterbrook, Jake Lalonde, Alexander Perry, and Garrett Cunning.
