Despite a light rainstorm at the open-air concert, the performances by the singers sharing the same artistic podium at the Russell Fair drew a capacity crowd of around 2,600, according to Fair President Mhairi Rowland.
The August 18 event went ahead as planned at respectable hours, with a high-tech technical production in terms of lighting and sound, all of which drew in the large audience who turned out in force to attend the concert.
Artists from a variety of backgrounds presented their musical repertoires, including Dj Biko, County Lads, bilingual singer Erica Bridghtill, the River Town Saints and singer Dallas Smith.
