The Prescott-Russell LGBTQ+ Allies Group (PRLAG) is looking for volunteers to help support the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

Since November 2016, PRLAG has been the voice of the 2SLGBTQI+ community in Prescott and Russell. Composed primarily of volunteers and agencies, the group has continued to evolve into a vehicle for advocacy and education of LGBTQ+ issues and topics.

“We envision a future in which the LGBTQ+ population is recognized, respected and included throughout the communities of Prescott-Russell,” the group said on their website. “[We] establish connections to provide support to the LGBTQ+ population and its allies and to promote respect for diversity of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression through awareness and education.”

Like many other organizations, the PRLAG was forced to cease most of its activities during the past three years, except for those they were able to organize online. Now that in-person meetings are once again allowed, they’re launching a recruitment campaign to find dedicated volunteers who want to help promote support for the 2SLGBTQI+ community in the region.

To become a volunteer with the Prescott-Russell LGBTQ+ Allies Group, complete the interest form at https://forms.gle/5gX9yTq19Z9SNnsV6. Those interested will be contacted in October. Questions can be directed to pr.lgbtq@gmail.com.
