This year’s annual motorcycle cavalcade has two goals in mind. The Dice Run continues to serve as a primary fundraiser for the Royal Canada Army Cadet Corps 2804 Casselman.

The 12th edition of the annual event will also serve this year as a dedication to and appreciation of the work of Prescott-Russell’s paramedics in dealing with a wide variety of emergency calls from motor vehicle accidents to seniors requiring special medical assistance.

«Life is the most important thing on Earth,» stated Sabrina Rogrique, Prescott-Russell emergency services superintendent. «Prescott and Russell Emergency Services paramedics are responsible for responding to emergency calls within our community.  They help and support people in their most vulnerable times. The spectrum of paramedic care has recently expanded with the advent of the community paramedicine program.  In this case, it is one more step that allows to expand the intervention capacity of paramedics with patients.  By providing at home care, paramedics help reduce the number of hospital visits and enable patients to live healthy lives at home for as long as possible.»

This year’s DICE Run is May 28, starting at 8 :30 a.m., with groups of motorcyclists rolling out from the J.R. Brisson Sports Complex parking lot in Casselman. They will follow a route through all of the Prescott-Russell region, returning to their starting point at the end of the day. All registration fees for participants in the event go towards supporting the 2804 cadets corps. Donations from non-participants for the DICE Run are also accepted at the starting point.
