Russell Trivia Night may have happened on April 1, but it was no joke. The Russell Arena opened its doors at 7 p.m. to admit crowds of trivia players who were eager to prove their knowledge and support a good cause. By the end of the last game, the Trivia Night had raised $6,350 for the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH)’s General Equipment Fund.

“Our thanks to Connie Johnston and Russell Trivia Services for a first-class competition and to everyone who came to play or provided an auction item,” said Justine Plummer, Manager of Direct Mail and Events.

Connie Johnston runs Russell Trivia Services, an organization that puts together fundraisers for many worthy causes in Russell Township and elsewhere. Most recently, she’s fundraising for a mural to celebrate the village of Russell’s 125th anniversary.

All events can be found at https://www.facebook.com/russelltrivia/. Johnston also advertises other fundraisers that are happening in the area.
