It’s the start of a good season for the Clarence-Rockland Falcons ringette squad.

The Falcons FUN3-Piecki ringette team flew away from the Greater Sudbury Ringette Tournament in mid-November with a perfect five-zero win-loss record, starting with a 4-2 win over the tournament host team.

The four-day tournament saw the Falcons slam Barrie 5-3 and West Ferris 7-2 on their second and third day in Sudbury. The Sunday finals schedule found the Falcons dropping West Ferris again 7-1 in the semi round to win the chance for a last showdown against Barrie in the afternoon finals match

Barrie took the lead in the opening period but the Falcons overcame their two-point deficit during the second period and pulled into the lead by two goals as the two teams prepared for the third period. The Falcons finished the game with a 7-5 gold-medal win against Barrie.

The Falcons joined teams at the Arnprior-McNab Tournament over the December 2 weekend. They beat Arnprior-Pope 4-3 in the Friday opening round. Saturday morning Clarence-Rockland hammered Metcalfe-Beuman 8-1. Their second game for the Saturday schedule saw the Falcons do the same against West Ottawa-Hamilton 8-1.

Clarence-Rockland brought back gold again from the Arnprior tournament, beating Arnprior-Lotan in the Sunday finals 7-1.
