The Vankleek Hill Cougars took three of a possible four points over the weekend with a 6-2 victory against Almonte Inferno and a 3-2 overtime loss against North Dundas Rockets.

“I’m a little disappointed” said Head Coach Franky Dopelhammer. “We would have liked to have all four points, but three isn’t bad.”

Dopelhammer was pleased with his team’s Saturday night win away in Almonte, but was unhappy with his team’s home performance on Sunday night.

North Dundas scored their overtime winner on a powerplay after Cougars took a penalty which Dopelhammer deemed intentional from his player.

“Our biggest issue was our lack of discipline” said Dopelhammer.
