After a 4-2 away loss to the Brockville Braves on Friday, the Nats returned home to defeat the Kemptville 73’s 5-2, replicating the score of their loss against the 73’s just two weeks prior.

Brockville’s opening salvo gave them three goals in the first period, scoring the opening goal just 1:30 in with a second coming less than four minutes later on a powerplay. Nicholas White responded putting the Nats on the board with an assist from Lane Morency, but the Braves would close out the period with another powerplay goal. The second period saw two goals, one from the Braves’ Kevin Belsterling followed by the Nats’ Charles Locas just a minute later, giving the game its final score with a scoreless third period.

Having lost in Kemptville 5-2 on October 22, taking on the 73’s at home on Sunday brought out a different attitude for the Nats. After a scoreless first period, the Nats found a soft spot in Kemptville’s defence and buried three goals throughout the second period. Zach Power gave the Nats their first goal in the first two minutes, followed by Nicolas White then Kellen Dostaler late in the 18th. Kemptville clawed one back on a powerplay, but Adriano Lombardo-Tullo answered back first then Nicholas White scored his third on the weekend. A late third period goal from Kemptville brought the final score to 5-2.

The Nats head to the Fred Barrett Arena to take on the Ottawa Junior Senators on Wednesday, November 9, followed by a home game against Carleton Place Canadians in Rockland on Friday.
