The Federal Government has established an arrangement with the Canadian Red Cross to match all donations for the Hurricane Fiona in Canada Appeal donation campaign in the next 30 days to offer those affected by the tropical storm interim-housing, food, clothing, and other essential supplies.

Hurricane Fiona hit the maritime provinces of Canada last month, including Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador as well as the east coast of Quebec leaving hundreds of thousands of Maritimers without power and destroying homes and infrastructure.

Canadians wishing to make a financial donation to help those impacted by Hurricane Fiona can do so online at www.redcross.ca, and by calling 1-800-418-1111 or texting FIONA to 20222 to make a $10 donation.
