The daughter of King George VI, Princess Elizabeth became Queen of England in 1952 after her father passed away. During her 70-year reign she has ruled over the Commonwealth and been a part of many social and political changes.
Her son, Prince Charles, is now King Charles III.
At the United Counties of Prescott-Russell office in L’Orignal, Chief Administrator Stephane Parisien confirmed that the flags there will come down to half-mast « effective immediately until the funeral day. »
