On June 24, Russell High School (RHS) will be launching 33 books written by its Grade 7 and 8 students as part of a decodable book project to support student literacy. After presenting the books, intermediate students will read them to groups of students from Russell Public’s Kindergarten to Grade 2 classes. The project focused on social justice issues and the Ontario Human Rights Commission Right to Read inquiry.
The book launch will be at Russell Public Library on June 24, from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
