Banks, landscapers, grocery stores, and chocolatiers lined the walls of the CIH Arena rink space as businesses from all over Eastern Ontario showcased their services at the annual Clarence-Rockland Expo. The event ran over the May 14 weekend and kicked off with the Mayor’s Breakfast at 8 a.m. on Saturday, a fundraiser under the umbrella of the Mayor’s Fund.
“I would like to thank all of our city employees for their professionalism and dedication, my colleagues on council, and all of our citizens for their patience encouragement and loyalty,” said Mayor Mario Zanth. “Thank you all for being here today for the very first State of the City Address.”
The Expo runs every year and gives residents the chance to discover businesses in their community that they may not know about. It also allows businesses from a bit further away, like Ottawa or Gatineau, to let residents know their services are available in the area, or that their delivery area extends to Clarence-Rockland.
