The Rockland Skating Club put on its end-of-year show on April 2, treating the crowd to several figure skating performances that the skaters have been working on all year.

The Rockland Skating Club’s year-end show was on April 2. Club members of all ages took to the ice at CIH Arena in Clarence-Rockland to show off their skills and the improvements they’ve made during their time with the club. The crowd cheered and clapped as the girls glided around the area, and even if they fell, they just got right back up again and kept on skating.

The event finished with a large group skating performance, the entire club joining in on a coordinated routine. Group maneuvers synced up with the music, and the graceful show concluded with a heartfelt goodbye to Coach Renee Yuill, who is retiring after this year.

The cost of entrance was a donation to the Clarence-Rockland food bank, and the skating club announced on its Facebook page that the show raised a total of $339 and gathered a pile of non-perishables for the organization.
