The Vankleek Hill Farmers’ Market will start this month in a brand-new location.

Vankleek Hill Farmers’ Market will return February 26, every Saturday morning at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre. The year-round farmers’ market is part of Farmers’ Markets Ontario (FMO) and helps residents support local growers and producers by making their products available to the public.

“Unfortunately, the building on Derby is no longer available to us,” said Aartje den Boer, president of the Vankleek Hill Farmers’ Market. “We truly appreciated the use of 79 Derby. It was a wonderful location for us, and much appreciated by both vendors and customers. We now look forward to welcoming everyone in the Reception Hall at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre. It’s a great space! We would like to express our gratitude to Champlain Township for their continued encouragement and support.”

All COVID-19 protocols in place for the community centre also apply to the market. Proof of vaccination is required for all patrons, either the enhanced vaccine certificate or Verify Ontario. Physician notes (medical exemption) will no longer be accepted.
