22-year-old arrested in stabbing incident

A 17-year-old was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.

A 22-year-old man from Hawkesbury was arrested on September 6 after repeatedly stabbing a 17-year-old boy. His injuries were not life-threatening, according to a release from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

The incident occurred at a home on Cartier Boulevard. Officers responded to a 911 call and arrived at 1:11 p.m., causing the suspect to immediately flee. He was arrested later that day and charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. He was scheduled to appear in court the following day in l’Orignal.
