Another two deaths related to COVID-19 have been confirmed at the Prescott and Russell Residence.

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) announced the two deaths on Saturday afternoon. The news brought the toll from the outbreak at the long-term care facility to three, after the death of a resident last weekend. The number of deaths across the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) region stood at 16.

“The UCPR extends its sincere sympathies to the families of the residents,” a spokesperson said in the statement announcing the fatalities. As of Friday afternoon, 78 cases of COVID-19 were active at the Prescott and Russell Residence, including 46 residents and 32 employees.
