Anyone wanting to stroll along the Prescott-Russell Recreation Trail will have to either walk or ride a bike to get there.

All the vehicle parking lots at the trail access points are now closed as the United Counties of Prescott-Russell (UCPR) follows the provincial government’s pandemic prevention plan.

The provincial plan includes closure of public recreation sites to prevent gatherings of five or more people and creating a risk of contagion.

The recreation trail itself is not closed and the UCPR has no plans to close any of the trail access gates. But the UCPR does urge residents to not use the trail until after the pandemic situation is ended.
