Hawkesbury woman charged in stabbing case

Josée St-Aubin, 32, of Hawkesbury is charged with aggravated assault and also four counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The charges resulted from police investigation of a stabbing incident reported to the Hawkesbury OPP detachment soon after midnight, July 15.

Police went to a residence on Front Road in Champlain Township and found an injured person, who was taken to hospital for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The police have not released any information on the identity of the victim.

St-Aubin was scheduled for a bail hearing later in the day at the provincial court in L’Orignal. Police investigation of the case continues.
