The Embrun Panthers experienced only lows in their two recent encounters with the Glengarry Brigade, resulting in two losses.
During their game on Wednesday, February 26, the Panthers lost a tough game on the road, falling to the Glengarry Brigade 6-4.
The Panthers began the game with a strong offensive display. At 11:38, Camden Cunningham-Fetch (Liam Murdoch and Cameron Grant) opened the scoring for Embrun. Just minutes later, at 14:27, Nicholas Evangelho (Simon Lemieux and Murdoch) doubled the lead.
However, the second period saw the Brigade claw back into the game with a goal, but the Panthers responded quickly, as Yanick Blanchard (Murdoch and Simon Lemieux) extended Embrun’s lead to 3-1 with a powerplay goal at 4:43.
The third period was a different story as the Brigade came alive, scoring one more goal before Embrun’s Nicholas Evangelho (Wyatt Leblanc and Lemieux) scored at 7:50, giving the Panthers a brief 4-2 advantage. Unfortunately, the Brigade roared back with four goals in rapid succession, sealing the 6-4 win for Glengarry.
The game was marred by penalties, with both teams taking 17 total trips to the box, with the Panthers only earned nine penalties.
The Panther’s goaltender Tristan Trudel saved 27 of 33 shots.
Game 2: Embrun Panthers 1, Glengarry Brigade 2
The Panthers could not bounce back against the Brigade, losing 2-1 at home. The game was a defensive battle, with both teams playing hard but failing to score in the third period.
Nicholas Evangelho (Murdoch and Yanik Blanchard) scored the only goal during the first period, netting a powerplay goal at 3:30.
During the second period, the Brigade responded with two goals.
Embrun’s goaltender could not withhold the Brigade’s barrage of shots, saving 36 of 38 shots.

After the two games, the Glengarry Brigade lead the Martin Division with a 3-3 record, totaling 6 points. The Embrun Panthers complete the 2025 playoffs in second place with a 2-3 record and 4 points.
