No serious injuries reported after Russell home invasion

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a reported home invasion in Russell after three unidentified individuals allegedly entered a residence, restrained the homeowner, and fled the scene.

The incident occurred on Duncanville Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday night. According to police, the resident was tied up by the intruders but managed to free himself and escape to a neighbour’s home.

By the time officers from the Russell County OPP detachment arrived, the suspects had already left the area.

Police say they believe the attack was targeted and that there is no threat to public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
