Russell Township and the Municipality of Casselman have announced that four outdoor rinks are officially open for the season.

The municipality extends special thanks to the Russell Township Fire Services for their assistance in preparing the rinks.

As of Friday, Jan. 10, residents can enjoy skating at the outdoor rinks located in Embrun (6 Blais Street), Russell (1084 Concession Street), and Marionville (210 Marion Street).

In addition, the outdoor rink in Casselman, located at 46 Faucher Street, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors can use the on-site change room to put on skates or warm up. Volunteers are encouraged to assist with ice maintenance.

Residents are reminded that the conditions of the outdoor rinks depend on the weather, and their status (open or closed) may change daily. Be sure to check the latest rink conditions at Russell.ca/arenas before heading out.
