International Day of the Girl began with a United Nations General Assembly declaration in 2011 in an effort to raise awareness of the unique rights and challenges of girls the world over.
The event will take place at l’École secondaire catholique de Plantagenet, starting at 6:00 p.m. Those interested are asked to register at www.minterludeh.ca. The first 50 girls to register receive a complimentary gift bag.
