The OSN’s silent auction is part of an ongoing effort to offset the cost of vet bills and cat food for the many felines they take in. Item donations, including various services from snow removal to personal care, are accepted through the OSN Facebook page. All the money raised from the auctioin goes to help the homeless cats.
“As we get things donated, we will be adding more items to the page,” said Pat Bracelin, OSN founder. “There’s going to be a little bit of everything. The more items we get, the better.”
Donations for the auction can also be made through the OSN Facebook page.
The OSN rescues cats throughout the Prescott-Russell area and helps to find them good homes. They also offer rehoming services, for people who can no longer care for their cats due to allergies or other reasons. They currently have several cats up for adoption, and they recently lowered their fees to encourage people to bring one home. Adult cats up to 8 years old are $165 to adopt, and senior cats 9 years or older are $75 to adopt. The fees include spaying or neutering, all shots, and a microchip.
Final day for bidding is December 11 at 3 p.m. The online auction can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/osncatescueauction.
