Dr. Brian Nadler, 35, was charged on March 26 with first degree murder over the death of Albert Poidinger at the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital.
Last Wednesday, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario announced it had suspended Nadler’s membership. The college, which regulates the practise of medicine in Ontario, said it was working with police and had suspended Dr. Nadler’s licence as soon as they became aware of the allegations.
Poidinger, a resident of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, was pronounced dead on March 25. Nadler, who lives in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Quebec, was remanded in custody and reappeared briefly in court on Tuesday. He maintains his innocence and the charge has not been proven in court. His case will return to court in L’Orignal on April 20.
