The Prescott-Russell Community Futures Development Corp. (CFDC) received confirmation of $520,000 from the federal Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) to assist businesses in the region suffering the most from the pandemic. The RRRF money is coming through the Federal Development program (FedDev).
“I am very pleased with this additional support from the federal government,” stated Éric Drouin, PRCFDC chairman, “which will allow us to continue our recovery and resiliency efforts.”
Since the pandemic began, the PRCFDC has received $1.1 million in RRRF money to provide support assistance to more than 30 businesses and local entrepreneurs in the Prescott-Russell region. The $520,000 in new RRRF funding will allow the regional development agency to continue its pandemic support work to the business sector.
“Our professionals and (PRCFDC) board members have worked with dexterity to quickly help businesses, as well as our communities to cope with the consequences of COVID-19,” stated Drouin. “We are all working together to keep businesses and entrepreneurs confident in these difficult times.”
